ORIGINS OF THE 7WIRE NAME
In 1857, Cyrus West Field announced plans to create the first transatlantic cable, a direct line of communication between the European and American continents. Despite enduring repeated setbacks and public ridicule for nearly a decade, Field remained undeterred. Finally, in 1866, the last portion of the cable was pulled onto the shore of Heart’s Content, a small fishing village in Newfoundland.
That cable—composed of seven copper wires—transformed interpersonal communication and helped usher in global interconnectedness and interaction.
7wire Ventures is named in recognition of its identifying and developing ventures on a mission to rewire the status quo and is determined to transform healthcare delivery through interconnectedness and interaction.
HATCH PROGRAM
Our Hatch program begins with an idea shaped by our deep understanding of the healthcare consumer journey and industry trends. 7wire Ventures then explores the market for opportunities to support the idea. If none exist, we build from scratch.
When we hatch a business, we take on the role of both creators and investors.
